Bait

w c

Bait

Should we use an earthworm

Baited on our hooks

Or a little minnow

To fish the little brook

Then there are the fish eggs

For the handsome trout

Or a spinner bait

For the bucket mouth

There are the diving baits

Very popular too

And long plastic worms

To fish the bottom smooth

There are the floating plugs

That entice to the top

Where like a big vacuum

They’re sucked in at the spot

Some use a stink bait

If not minding blood

Smelly for hungry catfish

Whose fillets we all love

It is a long time since I used to go fishing every weekend. There is nothing quite like the taste of trout that you have caught yourself.

Yes, Goldfinch. Fresh fish is hard to beat. i guess my favorite is catfish or crappie.
