Stolen Lines

sylviasearcher

'Nothing to Noone'

'Less than that!'

I took the words from your pen.

Or your mouth.

Or your broken heart.

I stabbed them into my arm.

Wrote across my soul

A story

About Nothing and Noone

And their crimes.

It is forgotten now.

Lost in Nothing

For Noone to notice.

He never will of course.

He stitched up his lips

So Nothing couldn't take his words.

Not from his mouth

Nor from his broken heart.

Fulfilled in his scripture

Tattoed on her soul

'Nothing to Noone'

'Less than that.'

  • Comment from author about the poem: I know it's not really a poem... Im struggling with writing and my thoughts are in a muddle. It was just a cathartic exercise I guess. To try and write myself away from emptiness.

Of course it's a poem and a good one at that.
