Our Eagle
There is none grander
Than the eagle one
Majestic on his wings
And shining in the sun
His sturdy nest of sticks
Is a welcomed sight
Taking years to build
with the eagle up so high
I saw one catch a fish
On a crystal lake
And I got my wish
To see one wild one day
There were others flying
A bit further down
My eyes opened wide
At the scene I'd found
The eagle indicates fitness
And we are doing well
All is right with country
When the eagle sails

Wow! They are the same! Good choice
w c,
( Sorry about addressing you as āevenā in my first comment. When I typed w c, it autocorrected and I didnāt notice it...my apologies.)
I chose that avatar after I survived a sad and dark period. After that period, I felt uplifted and free...I envisioned an eagle soaring in the clear blue sky; hence, my choice!
No problem, Laura I didn't give it a second thought. Auto-correct can be quite funny at times. I hope you continue to soar!.
From the UK I have obviously never seen a bald eagle in the wild but I have seen a sea eagle in the wild. It is the biggest UK eagle. Mind you I am a little disappointed that I have nit seen a golden eagle in the wild.
An amateur photographer friend of mine wen on holiday to Florida, not to laze on the beaches but to take pictures of the bald eagles around the rubbish dumps!
