The Cabin
The cabin was our camp
And had all amenities
With its running water
And electricity
It had a little woodstove
With post oak stacked outside
It was our tie to the past
Burning hot every night
There was the campfire stew
With venison and carrots
The most delicious food
With our cook that prepared it
There was the football game
That we watched each week
In our little cabin
On our big TV
Our cabin was our leisure
And the best of times
With us all feeling better
With a recliner and some wine

Thanks so much, Frogspoetry. The cabin that I wrote this poem about truly was a part of my growing up. I hate to say that it's been torn down, but I plan to find another to enjoy some day.
You should,I wish you the best.
Wonderful place to be, I was there with you.
Thanks, Goldfinch. I really appreciate your support.
