The wild horse
One that wants to run free
But Is now trapped
They took away it freedom
They lock it up and said it was for its own good
It is for your safety
Your health or well being
We can help you
It will be better, you'll see
So they put it in a cage, barn or pen only letting it out to graze or exercise and slowly tried to tame it
But the horse longed to be free, to run in the wild and to escape captivity. To be where it belongs.
Will it continue to fight or will it be tamed and adapt to it surrounding and become content?
Only time will tell.

WELCOME JENN ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ elegantly penned and with an infinite subject ~ HORSES ! I love CANADA ~ Have visited West and East ~ so so much Space & Freedom ! We love Space & Freedom ~ and so do Horses ~ Don't Fence Me in ! We do have "Wild Horses" in the UK and they are much happier than Tethered Horses. We treat our Horses better than we used to when they really were "Beasts of Burden" a fate worse than death for such a Powerful & Free spirited Animal. All HORSES long to be Free to roam the Plains but they do respond to TLC and can be trained for Riding ~ Eventing ~ Dressage ~ Racing and Working as Farm Horses and to pull Amish Buggies etc. There is fine line between "give & take" with a Horse and "Locking it up" in a Barn or Pen or making it perform Circus Tricks etc. is unnatural. You can BREAK a Horse or you can NURTURE & BEFRIEND it. The HORSE is one of God's greatest gifts to man from the ANIMAL KINGDOM ~ They are Majestic and should always be treated as ROYALTY ! I and my Fiancee both ride and Pony Trecking in the English Lake District (we do have Lakes) is one of Life's greatest Pleasures. Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) MPS works by mutual reading & commenting. Please check my site ~ Thanks B !
