At The Beach
Beautiful shells on the sand
And little castles standing
A parasol that shades a bit
With other bodies tanning
Coolers filled with beverages
And snacks of all sorts
No glass permitted anywhere
With life guards to enforce
Children on their little floats
And parents with them splashing
Wave upon wave coming in
Nonstop and overlapping
Bathing beauties on their towels
See young men playing catch
In the sun with a frisbee
And meeting the girls perhaps
Flocks of gulls are always flying
Following fishermen there
Hungry for the bait he’s trying
And hoping that he’ll share
The sun shining also sets
And leaves the ocean front
In its place the full moon rises
For walks and campfire fun
