Music could save a thousand lives.

E-Poems

Ever heard a song so soft, that it grazes past your soul.

Ever heard a tune so raw, cookie crumbs turn into Coal.

Ever heard a song that turned a tear into waves of waterfalls.

Ever heard a harmony that made your goose bumps cry and crawl.

A song that sings so deeply, making your heart feel weak.

A song that wraps and hugs you in, warmth and love you seek.

A song that echoes a story, into a deep deserted stream,

A song that mimics a life you’ve had, reflects your self esteem.

Have you ever heard a piece music, that makes you feel at home.

Have you ever felt the sound of abandonment, a song of being alone.

Have you ever heard a piece of music, that beams with lust and power.

Have you ever sobbed to heart ache music, while draping in the shower.

Have you ever sang a song of desperation, have you ever sang for hope.

Have you ever listened to a song, while falling down a self destructing slope.

Have you ever been uplifted, by funky music grooving.

Have you ever drifted off to sleep to music, rhythmic and soothing.

Have you ever felt pure connection, to music that is raw.

Has music ever helped you close, an old harrowing door.

Have you ever felt a piece of music, so deeply in your heart.

Have you ever sang a song of hope, desperate for fresh starts.

Music swims throughout our life, like a fish jetting through the ocean.

Music imprints like a sharp knife, triggers intense heartfelt emotion.

Music survives just like us, it strives and thrives for attention

But most of all, music faces feelings that us humans forget to mention.

Music provokes and generates a truth, that we sometimes hate to see.

Music empowers. Allows our hearts to conquer and be free.

Music builds us. Makes us strong. Teaches no Sacrifice.

Music is ruthless it gifts us strength and could save a thousand lives.

Yes to all that you ask and music is the essence of our expression in this existence.

If not for music I'd not be here or would of gone down a even worse road than it did.

When i was a performing musician/singer a piece of music i learned with a view to performance changed from a work of art and emotion into a discipline. Thereby robbing me of the enjoyment of its beauty but also enriching me by allowing me to feel an audiences response to the piece.
Some pieces i refuse to learn, i dont want to be robbed of their emotion.
You have written well today and i agree with everything you write.

wow that's actually really interesting! Sad that you lost emotion of some music but you're right to make sure thats not the case for all music! Thank you very much! ~E

Yes I have heard all these types of music, I have been listening to music for over sixty years and there are so many pieces of music that move me. Just look back at some of my poems on here to see what I mean.
So much music, so little time.
