What We're Made Of

poetboy5454

Beginning with a smooth stone

Still young and ungrown

Released into the river of life

Stumbling through the jagged rocks

Cut by life's endless strife

Heart forged from memories of compassion

Hope born to live off of tomorrow's rations

Soul taught by drops of blood and sacrifice

Mind crafted through tarnished dreams of paradise

Every wound and scar

Building who we really are

Shaped by the tailors of joy and agony

The twins of chaos and order, happiness and tragedy

Sharpened from the stones and storms

Filling the mold of experience to give way to new form

Very good write, as we go through our lives we learn from experience and remember that experience cannot be taught.
