Fine poem Tynika. Mothers are the glue that holds humanity together! Read the poem \"Mother\" by Renzi, you will probably enjoy it!

Tynika, you do write well. Do we miss something we don\'t know? Maybe just because others have it? You aptly describe a person who is defiant while simultaneously crying for help. As a father of two boys and a daughter I honestly don\'t understand why someone would not want to be there for his kid(s). So much to gain, nothing to loose!

Congratulations on a wonderful poem.

WELCOME TYNIKA ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ excellent in structure and very poignant and true in SUBJECT. I work in College wit students aged 16 to 30 and many of them are under peer and community stress. We do council thm (M & F) about self-harm and drugs etc ~ but for some it is too late ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ BRIAN ~ UK.

She is innocent.
If only she knew this.
If only she could believe this.
She is innocent.
We are all innocents.
Innocence smiles.
Innocence laughs.
Innocence understands.
Innocence empathizes,
and embraces
and heals.

I am astounded and saddened at the darkness displayed by the young in their poetry! The hopelessness! One can only hope it will change for the better as they make their way through life.
