Thanks FRIEND for a very elegant first poem in both Structure and Subject ! I love to watch \"Local Trees\" through the Seasons ~ and the leaves from Bud to Bucket (for the compost heap !) I love your analogy with the life of the leaf and our life span ! Even though on a deciduous tree an individual LEAF has a short life span it has lasting benefit for the Tree ! By the process of PHOTOSYNTHESIS a leaf converts CO2 (from the air) and H2O (from the soil) into GLUCOSE (C6H1206) and OXYGEN ! The plant coverts the Glucose into STARCH for energy and CELLULOSE for plant fibre ~ awesome. There is an analogy with HUMANS we live out our lifespan (80+ years) in the Community ~ BUT ~ the good that we do and the Family we produce live on to benefit the Community !
