The Apple Story

Hi, I had the same problem in my early years in school. I actually through a school book in some shrubs on the way home from school. I figured if I lost the book I wouldn\'t have to read something I could not understand, I was in third grade.

The Albatross

\'Rising hope uplifting like by that bird’s feathered wing, in quiet shadow passing does no welcome bring.

From hardship have there many ventures born, amongst the shattered pieces of a life blown with the storm.\'
your voice is steadfast and your talent is clear,
maybe a little streamlining and rewording to make your concepts a little more accessible and I\'m sure you\'ll get the recognition you deserve. Keep fighting the good fight dear poet,
let your mind\'s ink flow without restraint, but do remember when you go back to edit with the hope of sharing, not everyone has those links to your references..
(please understand, I mean no disrespect and if you find my words offensive in any way I apologise wholeheartedly, neither am I claiming expertise or any semblance of superiority, I\'m just sharing my 2 cent$ worth, in the hope that it may - help: sincerely),
thanks for choosing to share!

Homeless poem
Nemo said:

A very well written poem, gives you the feeling of being in this scenario. I hope this poem shines the light on this issue of how homeless people have been treated. And I hope people would treat them with more compassion if they just try to imagine them selfs in there shoes.

Thank you so much, glad you liked it.

People like you have made me feel so welcome. This is feeling like a great place to be able to share and open up, pleasant change from some places online that seem to judge and keep me on guard from sharing.

Wish you both a great Christmas and look forward to seeing the next year with new online friends like you both.

It is now (touch wood), thank you.

You are so right!
I have met so many people who have lived lives no one would believe but will never get to share. There is so much that needs to change.

Homeless poem

This happens to many people nowadays and it should not as those with the power and the money to fix the problem do not care unless there is any money in it for themselves.
Good write Greg, I hope all is well now.

Thanks for sharing a Great Poem Greg - in both Structure & Subject - GRAVITY ! Brian & I are both SCIENTISTS and we never take anything for granted - We always ask WHY ! When the APPLE dopped on NEWTONS HEAD He didnt just say B*G*E* and resolve to never sit under an AT again NO NO NO. Newton was a Scientist - So he asked three Questions :

1. Why did it fall to the ground and stay there ?
2. When it was loosed from the Branch - which held
it in place - why didnt it just stay there or move sideways ?
3. Why didnt it move upwards ?

Newton reasoned that there was some force *GRAVITY* which
pulled every free object towards the centre of the EARTH and
& conferred WEIGHT on an object when you tried to lift it !
It is GRAVITY which confers limits on all Field Athletics and
not just the Skill of the ATHLETES !

Many important SCIENTIFIC discoveries have been made by CHANCE (serendipidy) because Scientists have investigated observed phenomena instead of disregarding it ! Examples are the Steam Engine (WATT) Radiation (BEQUEREL) Penecillin (FLEMMING) Mauve Dye (PERKIN) Stainless Steel - Polythene & Viagra. The History of Science & Technology is a very very fascinaing subjct !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
