So true. I used to say the first 10 years were the worst then 20, 30, 40, 50 and now it is 60 years as my eldest is now in her 50s.
I wouldn\'t be with out them though.

GOOD AFTERNOON HINNANT - Lovely Smile - pleased you*re not wearing a MASK ! ANGELA here (I share this site with my Husband of 6 months) BRIAN ! MPS operates by reading & commenting on each others POEMS ! Please visit our Site - Thanks !
MASKS used to be sinister in the Wild West (USA) & the Highwaymen (UK) ! Now they are everywhere & even Donald T has been seen sporting ONE ! Your elegant Ode highlights the fact that *mouthless* Poeple are in fact also *faceless* no smiles & no frowns ! Love your poem great Rhyme Pattern (A B x x x C) with repetition for emphasis ! More please !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

The eyes say a lot though! Sometimes they are smiling above those masks.... but you\'re right, it\'s strange. Welcome!

You describe the present fearful condition of faceless communities so well Hinnant -- welcome to M.P.S. and hope to be reading more of your work.
