(yes, its ok to burn our fingers
when grabbing for those
temptingly delicious, mirage\'s of life
yet
its foolhardy and far - too, costly
if we throw em in our mouths
all willy-nilly carefree
like, pieces of roasted potatoes
or molten cheese..
see, some mistakenly ambitious
bite\'s of life
don\'t cool, easily or quickly
no matter how much
we huff and puff
or loll our tongues out, in despair..
so then..
best to be careful, I think
as all that glistens, appetisingly
may not be so accommodating
once we\'ve digested
its oh so pricy, consequences..)
