Poem-Cow infanticide...3June2025
sorenbarrett said:

Not as complete as your AI revies Soman but what makes a poem poetic to me is the emotion that it evokes and this one was deeply emotional evoking empathy for an animal that is considered food. By personifying it it became humanized. Furthermore the deepest human bond is between mother and child and using this made the poem far stronger. A sad and tragic poem that brought up a lot of thought about how humans treat animals as well as themselves. A fave

A most extensive analysis of a poem of a most tragic event where lack of understanding on both sides and rash action to what may have been taken as orders and duty led to death and tragedy as well as isolation. Well done Soman

Will await your English translation of this piece in that my French is nonexistent and although I can make out some words from Portuguese, Spanish similarities they are far too few. Although there were some English Excerpts they too are too few to gain proper insight.

Another analysis of a poem set with moral and emotional meaning. It has a historical setting of postcolonial time distancing it a bit from the present although it still applies. Another good analysis

Soman in that AI analysis is a product of data input is it not susceptible to societal censoring of information? In this case the either exaggeration or suppression of information that is not politically expedient to governing powers. Otherwise a most comprehensive analysis

A most interesting analysis of ethics and science two areas that have little area of overlap. Human experiments an area of convergence that is hotly contested. Poetry seems a good measure to deal with such issues. Further adding to the fuel is the issue of nuclear radiation also hotly contested. This was a most interesting work

This seems to be another analysis of a poem of colonialism in Mauritius where the English took control. It seems most comprehensive as is the usual for your reviews. Nicely done

Poem-It brings beaten men-2June2025
sorenbarrett said:

The topic is taboo and seldom addressed in poetry, seen as depicting a coward, a weak man, shameful for the victim. Yet there are many reasons men and women subject themselves to abuse and who are we to judge. Abuse is wrong in all forms but yet prevalent and hidden by both parties at times. Abuse takes many forms most times not physical. A write that brings to the public eye a sad symptom of human relationships.

A most unique analysis this time departing from poems of historical colonialism to that of birds and their metaphoric comparisons. I found this to be delightfully refreshing in that I love nature, not that I do not like history as well, but as a departure and something new. Very nice

Soman this is another great example of analysis of a poem of imperialism and colonialism in India. The story of the diamond and its theft sounds quite interesting as does the metaphor associated with it. Themes of curses and history itself draws interest. Nice work Soman

I give faves for various reasons but this one for inspiring. It gave me thought of a new poem and for that I am grateful. I too have thought and written about the ephemeral nature of the poem and or writings and yet the impact that they have on a reader can not be erased. A lovely poem of loss but still effects as ripples from a pebble tossed and sunken spread outwards.
