Thanks for your comment. I learned another mad thing about the UK! And by the way I admire your energy in commenting so well about many poems--a vital encouragement to budding and seasoned poets.

BABY FLY
BRIAN & ANGELA said:
The dying fly is a popular dance move in the UK ! One lies on ones back and waves arms and legs helplessly in the air ! Over 60's have died doing it ! In the UK flies are the most despised insect and children are taught to say "Shoo Dirty Fly". Under the microscope they are very beautiful and they have compound eyes so they see a thousand of us. I admire you for devoting a whole poem to the death of a baby fly. Like writing a poem about Adolf Hitler. Well crafted poem which asks many unanswered questions. Thanks for sharing. BRIAN

LAURA IN THE GYM
lysistrata said:
Ha,ha Bert.
Isn't this a satire? Or a very good,to the point commentary about any 'Laura' spending time in a gym?!
I need to read more of yours..

FISH
BRIAN & ANGELA said:
Thanks BL - Great poem and I too am a Water Baby and I relish in the 3D freedom that a deep pool or lake affords. The evolutionist's Bible says "In the beginning COD" so in essence we are all a bit fishy. The advantages of living in the Aquasphere instead of the Atmosphere are: 1. You always have plenty of water 2. There is enough dissolved oxygen 3. You never get overheated 4. You are part of an abundant food chain and web 5. Movement and travel is easy and 3D 6. You never need a bath or a shower etc etc ! YES - I would rather be a FISH ! Great "free verse" poem beautifully grafted into "fishy" shapes. Yours piscatorially - BRIAN

THE PHYSICS OF LOVE
Severus Alexander said:
Love is like the ocean, too~
Hearts in unison contrive....
To brave the ever deeper depths~
Sometimes, walking hand in hand...
Often, seeming far apart~
Foremost with compassion strive...
To gaze upon their better lives~
All these happy faces...
Who have found love?
Thus, into deeper depths depart~
And every beat a constant blue..
To brave the sea of midnight hue~
Together....
Every sound a fleeting sigh~
In the silence, but a whisper...
Motion, as a fallen feather~
Hands clasped and head held high..
Look up, into the sky~
All these lonely faces...
Have they found love?
Have I...?

POEM ABOUT ONE

Very clever poem about "one".
You'll have to tell me how you were able to post your picture in your profile bubble. Usually you can just click on it and fill it with a photo, but I couldn't see how to do it on this site.
