DEMOCRACY IN ACTION
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

HI BERTHOLD ~ Sounds like life in ARIZONA ! A great idea though ! Despite being controlled by genetics some parents and their "natural" children are very very unsuited ! In the UK we have stores where you can take your "nearly new" clothes and swap them with others ! Like a mutual "Thrift Store". This would be a great idea for Parents to take there "unwanted kids" and swap them ! Perhaps that is what MARRIAGE actually is (think about it !) Yours BRIAN

ROBOT-2
lysistrata said:

Berty,
How HOT is in Tuscon?
Here is the deal: Either you sing
"I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 miles more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door"

or you could come to Las Palmas to meet Tony and listen 12 hs of music(only).

Thanks BERTHOLD ~ Love ~ SF ~ Robots and fantasy poems. Love the idea of CONCAVE & CONVEX for comparability and love ! It suggests a whole new version of Karma Sutra based on the mathematics of 3D symmetry and solid geometry and left and right hand threads ! Yours BRIAN

VENGEANCE
lysistrata said:

I appreciate your forgiveness.
What do you think of compassion as an interchangeable agreement ?
Except you want me to send you one of the 3 desserts (including home made ice cream) that I made for this Sunday lunch.
I have to feed 9 people,Bert. Wish me GOOD LUCK?!πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

THE SADDEST MOMENT
lysistrata said:

My friend,

The following is a quick one, inspired by your poem and my cooking( I have some friends coming over for the football match - Yes,I do watch FootballπŸ†)

In the cellar of your Life
Surrounded by wheel nuts and engine oil
Make room for some thirsty poems
About mournful hearts and our mortal coil.

Based on the info that I have for you. I hope you like it...
You do like it.😯😁

I loved your structure...I am learning...
Off tomorrow to watch one of my favourite operas:"AIDA" by G.Verdi.
Take care in the meantime....πŸ’œ

GRADUATE SCHOOL
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

Blood - sweat and tears
Locked in a LAB for three long years
Unravelling nature mysteries
Penanance of Biochemist PhD's
A cap and gown and Mans applaud
Is scant but just reward
But Academia I won't picket
A PhD's a good meal ticket
Recruiting Boards cannot resist
A PhD for their SHORT LIST - AMEN

Thanks for posting - BRIAN

I LOVE TO DO LAUNDRY
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

YES BERTHOLD - There is something cathartic about washing clothes - especially for the washer (M or F). In third World Countries when one sees someone (usually a lady) washing the clothes "Down bythe Riverside" you can tell by her expression and the sigh of relief (when the task is complete) that her soul has been cleansed as well ! A well crafted poem and a very CLEAN one too ! BRIAN

DISPOSSESSION
lysistrata said:

Bert,my friend,
You are just tidying up.
Then you would decide when to depart....
But keep a couple of LPs so we could dance,
I'd bring a Vintage Dom PΓ©rignon,
and we'd close with Ursula Le Guin's "The Dispossessed"... HAPPY now?πŸ˜‡πŸ‘»

SMALL THINGS ARE ENOUGH
lysistrata said:

BERT'S SMALL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Just make me some tea
2.Just hold my hand
3.Just share my silence

MY QUESTION/COMMENT:

1.Who is going to do the rest?(cooking, cleaning, ironing, shopping, working etc.)
2.Share Silence? Only when I am asleep or dead....

CONCLUSION:

Bert is not asking for SIMPLE things!!

BRIAN & ANGELA said:

THANKS BERTHOLD - Science has the ultimate answer to sex and everything ! Love your pseudo haiku a very pithy way to express truth. Chemists do it EXOTHERMICALLY - Physicists do it RADIOACTIVELY - Biologists do it GENETICALLY and Geologists do it MILLENNIALLY - Biochemists just do it ! BRIAN

BABY FLY
lysistrata said:

The grey plane sprayed the black fly
The black fly poisoned the white milk
The white milk rinsed off the yellow bones.
Life is indeed a perpetual funeral, my friend.
