LIGHT
sorenbarrett said:
A beautiful poem Durdica it swims in cosmic metaphor and baths the reader in its light. Images are nicely planted along the way and one feels metaphysical as it unfurls. A fave

GREEN GRASSCOC
sorenbarrett said:
The poem begins with a list of natural insect colored beauties and then returns to the grasshopper found dead and projections as to why. Personification enhanced speculation and it ends in biblical terms. Nicely done Durdica

SUMMER STORM

A vivid description of an event that may be extrapolated into metaphor as well. Sour fruit will eventually break before the storm where others bend. Nicely written Durdica

What is common we give little regard even that precious liquid that is necessary for life but wars have been fought over it and in its scarcity people have been murdered for it. It\'s purity cherished it is worth more than gold. Wonderful write with great images.

FLOWERS vs PRICES
sorenbarrett said:
A stunning poem of a most powerful nature. Women on display and for sale or at least to put a price on or judge for beauty. We are a sexual society where sex is sold and marketed. Well done and a fave

If found, than hang on to the recollection as it becomes more of a moveable feast every year. As an aide-mémoire, your rich piece will do very well.

ONLY FLOWERS
sorenbarrett said:
A deep metaphor here Durdica Beautiful images painted in a flower shield. I live in a culture with present day laws that reflect its values. I recognize that these were not always the same nor are they in other cultures. In western culture years back it was not unheard of to marry in the early teens, girls sometimes as young as thirteen. I my youth I had a friend that married a girl of fourteen when he was seventeen. In the orient child marriages by parental pledge usually not sexual until much latter. I do not advocate child sexuality or abuse but recognize the differences in what is accepted in some cultures and times. Poe himself infatuated with a child cousin. Times have changed. A lovely write about a cultural and personal value that we all have.

A WINDOW THAT LIGHTS
Friendship said:
Well written. a powerful poem facing death. Your poem \"A Window That Lights\" revolves around the contrast between darkness and light, both in a literal and metaphorical sense. The window symbolizes hope, connection, and the human spirit\'s resilience, while the darkness signifies isolation and the inevitability of mortality. To me, the poem explores the themes of remembrance, the clarity of truth that comes with facing death, and the illuminating power of the soul.

A lovely write of the innocence of a young child and their connection with nature, especially what I call the wise old men of the woods (tree\'s). I am sure if they could talk we could learn so much from them, enjoyed the read
