delusions, this really pulled me in. There’s such a weary, crowded loneliness running through it…surrounded by people, yet somehow completely alone inside the movement. Strong piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

What a great metaphor where the crowd itself becomes the barrier to socialization. Too many people too much noise isolated in a crowd. Well done my friend

Powerful piece, delusions. The double standard at the heart of this is brutal enough on its own, but carrying it through the image of a shared blade gives the whole poem an even darker edge. Excellent write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

Wow! a relationship defined in wounds delivered differently. Nicely written and with the view that no relationship goes without pain. I too believe this that there is a duality in all things and where there is love there is also hate and where there is joy there is pain. Well done

What a moving poem, delusions. The city feels filled with lives brushing past one another without contact, then one sustained glance opens a doorway through the distance...subtle, compassionate, and powerfully resolved. Excellent work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

I like to think that we can be a better version of our selfes than from yesterday because we choose to be better and we choose to still walk on this earth and notice things. So easy to say that I can relate to this pice more than I would like to admit.

What a tender piece, my friend. The fear here is not just missing out...it is slowly becoming absent from moments you deeply wanted to share. That lands with a real ache. Wonderful write. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

Being excluded never feels good. The question of why me? Is there something wrong that others don\'t want me. This write encapsulates the feelings of sadness and rejection. A poem of not being wanted and its pain. Well done my friend.

There’s a compelling tension between wanting to become better and realizing you can’t do that without becoming unfamiliar to yourself. The final “I wasn’t paying attention” is the strongest turn—it suggests transformation isn’t always invention, but finally noticing the person and world that were there all along.

My friend, this hit me deeply. Becoming disconnected from yourself while still choosing to continue is such a painful and courageous experience. The gradual return of awareness brings quiet hope without pretending everything is resolved. Beautiful, vulnerable work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️

Tristan Robert Lange said:
My friend, what a thoughtful piece. The desire to move humanity forward is powerful, but our conflicting definitions make the way incredibly difficult to navigate. I wrestle with that tension often...and you capture it beautifully here. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

My friend, this is beautifully romantic. The classical voice gives it the quality of an old love letter...patient, intimate, and reverent. I know how separation magnifies every memory, and you captured that experience beautifully, delusions. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

There’s a damn old-world romantic ache here, full of longing, distance, and devotion, and the archaic diction gives it a deliberate, almost Shakespearean glow. It’s earnest and beautifully sentimental, though the emotional territory stays pretty consistently in the same register from beginning to end.

This is a beautiful ode so well worded. The wording reminiscent of classic writes both in meter and in rhyme scheme. It is a formal declaration of love and passion for another. a fave

The Mouth of Meaning
Thomas W Case said:
There’s a damn unsettling intelligence running through this, especially the recurring imagery of mouths, teeth, hunger, and consumption. “I had forgotten I was eating myself” is viciously good, and the final line leaves the whole poem hanging open like the wound it describes.

A Faint Recollection of Home
Tristan Robert Lange said:
What an extraordinary poem, delusions! The endless architecture feels like memory attempting to reconstruct a home from incomplete pieces. The figure returning the speaker’s wave is chilling, but the decision to continue wandering cuts even deeper. Sometimes the place that feels most intimately familiar is precisely the place to which we can never return. Brilliant work, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

They always say you should never revisit a place, the memories always distort.
Yet sometimes you need to, maybe for closure.
Always found myself that it never worked.

Haunting a surreal dream of a familiar place but not real although it feels real. Here one wanders but is never at home. Well written with numerous symbols of the spiritual. Heaven, hell, spirits all have a part here. Well done

The Age that took our purpose.
sorenbarrett said:
Deeply metaphoric this poem personifies the shadows. Indeed the second stanza has deep meaning. Yes the harvest is the given meaning of life to most. I love the concept of a gold cage for progress for that fits so well my concept of technology and its gilded comforts that trap us. The final stanza speaks of immortality but paired with a feeling of it being traded for a feeling of purposelessness. I have always said if offered the choice between a long life of misery or no purpose or a short one of purpose and joy I would take the latter. Quality over quantity for me. Very nicely written and a fave

Thomas W Case said:
This has a bleak, damn hypnotic atmosphere, with the collapsing city and fermenting yesterday making the whole world feel trapped in decay. The final line hits hard—it turns the poem from an apocalyptic scene into a brutal question about whether repetition is really living.
