I had an uncle who literally died in my arms.... but it is always different when it is your very own beautiful child. Carrying on only makes sense for their memories and their dreams, to live on on their behalf. Most moving 🙏🏻🕊️

A heart rending poem of loss and pain. It is indeed the hardest thing a person can experience in this life is the loss of a child. Although polished in rhyme and meter this poem is raw in its emotion and for all three a fave

Moving and with a sense of proudness and sadness of loss and gain. Veterans who fought for the cause that they believed in deserve to be remembered and honored. Well written

The Vowel Challenge

Your challenge reshapes language, balancing structure and expression. It sharpens wordplay while preserving meaning, crafting a rhythmic dance between phonetics and poetry.🙏🏻🕊️

In free verse not so hard but with rhyme that will require some time. A great challenge and should be a contest.

Funny, how you suggest the parent wishes they\'d kept the small child closer, if only to have preserved her thereby, and while my mother didn\'t exactly do that, somehow I had the sense she did and also understood I was to keep my siblings close for their safety. Adulthood did its damages, inevitably, but, I\'ve always wondered at the parents who don\'t seem so protective. And this pretty number is a reminder of the painful fact that so many things take half a second, yet can never be undone. Beautifully rendered with a delicate eloquence, excellent imagery and a damning poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
