WELCOME TAYLOR ~ Thanks for a beautifully written poem ~ replete with rhyme and rhythm ~ BUT ~ the beauty is eclipsed by the sadness of the subject. Loss of contact with a loved one through divorce. My folks are still together but I work with Young People and I know the anguish they go through when they lose contact with one of their parents through divorce. The whole of the UK is only one quarter the size of Texas so after divorce each parent lives relatively close. Girls nearly always stay wih their Mom so it is the very important Dad / Daughter bond that is separated. Thanks for sharing ~ hope it helped ~ this is a very empathetic site.
