Set Me Free
Cheeky Missy said:
Indeed, it is a dreadful situation. The title excellently expresses it, as well reminding me of the Lord's words "...ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free....if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed..." Which freedom the poem seems to be crying for. Only He can deliver, and keep from falling....call on the Lord...for evermore. His mercy endures forever. P.S. Check "day" in the 8th line, and "loneliness" in the 3rd.

Strength
Cheeky Missy said:
Your author's note makes it mean so much more....bolstering ourselves to move when we're immobilized by whatever is destroying or crushing the life out of us. Yet, we cannot trust in our own selves and our hearts for the Lord says that "he that trusts in his own heart is a fool" instructing us to find our strength in Himself, saying "even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint." In the Lord alone is true, everlasting, saving strength.
