Walkers with the Dawn

Langston Hughes

 Next Poem

Being walkers with the dawn and morning,
Walkers with the sun and morning,
We are not afraid of night,
Nor days of gloom,
Nor darkness--
Being walkers with the sun and morning.

WOW, I REALLY ENJOYED THIS LANGSTON HUGHES POEM! IT GAVE ME SUCH A SENSE OF EMPOWERMENT AND HOPE! QUESTION THOUGH, ARE WE SUPPOSED TO VIEW OURSELVES AS THE "WALKERS WITH THE DAWN"? I LOVE THE LINES "WE ARE NOT AFRAID OF NIGHT, NOR DAYS OF GLOOM, NOR DARKNESS." SO INSPIRATIONAL!
