Mourn not for the days of old
Nor cry for them your tears of gold
Nor set them jewel-like in a ring
Nor of them many songs do sing
But set them free knowing them gone
For you'll rejoin them ere long

A fine write Lorna. I got lost along the way - DAS came up - Difficult Airway Society (???). That what you mean?!
Oh well, we learn something new everyday! lol.
Reminds me of Flanders & Swann - "If got had intended man to fly, he never would have invented the British Railroad".............
You've been missed - back with a good one.
Thanks Michael - I've been off communing with the clouds............
Lorna,
Not good to be sad...
for too long!
We have to let go and
remember the happy
and joyous times we
shared together!
Loved the video! She
was so inspirational...
and she still inspires
through her music!
~Laura~
Thanks L - looking beyond..........
Absolutely, my friend!🤗
In my collection of poems are several which recall very happy times with lovers who broke my heart in the end. All were written recently, long after heartaches ceased. They are a reminder of pure joy and love in the happiest days of my life. Reading them brings it all back. I do hope that when i am much older and my memory does its floundering thing, reading them will still bring back the memories.
Why do i write all this, well they are my settings in a 'jewel like ring' and tho they are not many, they are the 'songs i do sing'. They are set free nonetheless.
Lovely flow to your poem.
Thank you!
This song was so beautiful and reading your words a few times, everything just felt as it should be.
I so glad to of met you on this wonderful journey
Mutual admiration!
Short and simple yet very powerful
Very good positive write.
Good to see you back Lorna.
Nice to "see" you too Andy....... I\'ll probably disappear on and off occasionally but I will always be back........ I love my international friends........
