Tune: Serenity
('Immortal love, for ever full')
Psalm 32 v.7-11
*******
You are my hiding place, you shall
Preserve me, keep me well
Save from troubles, from them me free
Songs of deliverance [shall] be
The LORD will instruct you, will show
Will teach the way to go
He will guide us with His sure eye
To Him for refuge fly
Be not as horse or mule, for they
Not understand the way
Their mouths must be held, bits, bridles
To be as them brings falls
Many sorrows shall be unto
The wicked, not a few
But they that in the LORD do trust
They are helped, though they dust
For mercy shall compass them round
Then heard the joyful sound
Of those that are glad in Him sure
Upright in heart e'ermore
They be the righteous, Him they praise
To Him loud songs do raise
They shout for joy, content and free
God's presence with them be

Amen.
Thanks Gold. You singing today?
Yes I am We have 5 hymns, the choir is singing an Introit and a Sally Army song at the end - "I'll go in the strength of the Lord" - https://youtu.be/95D9YVk1d8Y. (One of my bass colleagues doesn't think we should sing this but it IS a joyful song.
Hi Orchi - well I rode a LOT of horses and some of them definitely knew the way - more than we liked! Ha! If there is one I'm sure you're going to heaven with or without a horse.....
You got the horse, and I got a mule Lorna. Aww, it says they don't understand. Well, they do, but we have to bridle them in. You see me on that mule?
Riding and singing at the top of your lungs....... Ballad of 1066
Great structure O
Thanks M.
Orchi,
Beautiful hymn/poem!
So far today I’ve read/heard
four song references!
I guess I’ll be singing
all day long!
~Laura~
Ahh good Laura. At least they won't hear ME singing, if ya drown me out and sing louder!
I’ll do my best! Lol
Thanks Gold. Not much 'danger' of joyful songs in some places! Just been to one. Well, it's the hols, and some folk not coming out in the wind and rain - depleted numbers!
Five songs there would have been agony! Mutter, mutter, etc. Can't be helped sometimes. I start muttering too! doh!
Another write straight by the book.
Thanks Heart.
