EVERY NOW AND THEN

Michael Edwards

EVERY NOW AND THEN

I’ve been involved since I don’t know when

In the ancient ritual of pushing the pen

And as I write every now and then

I come up with a poem that rhymes.

Yes I am like that, a rhyming poem in my case is probably a bit of luck.

The table and chairs look good but surely a bottle of wine and two glasses are missing!

Don't invite me to that table. I will bring water as well as wine. heehee

It was bit wet yesterday so the wine was in the conservatory. thanks Andy

And more than 'now and then' you come up with a fine write M. More than 'occasionally'!

Thanks O - now you've made me feel all silly.

          love that humour

A conundrum. Does 'now' always become 'then' later on? And can 'then' refer to past and to future?
Similar to 'Does tomorrow ever come; when it get's here. it's today'
I'm going off to look for tomorrow! You seen it anywhere?

          • Michael Edwards

Tomorrow is the last day after the penultimate day which is today which is the antipenultimate day before the day after tomorrow which is Friday unless any days have been cancelled due to Government cutbacks.

You may wish to take a rain check in the morning to determine if tomorrow is today yet.

            Michael,

Love that “lick” of paint along with your rhyming poem!
Btw...How did you know that lemon-lime flavored ice cream is one of my favorites?!😉

I'm psychic - good job your favourite isn't liquorice.

              • Laura🌻

I’ll be ready for a liquorice gin & tonic in a few hours!

                • Michael Edwards

I'd pour you one but as I'm in the UK you'd need very long lips lol 🙂
