Tune: Tallis' Ordinal
('When all thy mercies, O my God')
Psalm 119 v.145-152
*******
I cried with my whole heart, hear me
O LORD, look on me, see
I will keep all your statutes sure
They my guide evermore
I cried to you, save me, I pray
And I shall keep your way
Your testimonies my delight
And pleasant in my sight
I rose before the dawn of morn
And called for help, forlorn
Was I, but I hoped in your word
And you my prayer have heard
My eyes are awake through the night
Enlightened, my view bright
I meditate in your word sure
It wholly true and pure
Hear my voice, your loving-kindness
Show to me, and me bless
O LORD, revive m according
To your justice, it bring
They draw near that follow mischief
They far from your law, if
It shown to them, they not obey
And care not for your way
You are near LORD, your commands true
Appointed all by you
I have known that testimonies
Of yours with truth agrees
