NEWNESS.

Fay Slimm.

Newness.

Come now oh beloved one.

Gird up the morning,

It's voice over-calls.

Roll up the glory of sunrise
before you.

Come shake out it's newness.

Use light's emergence to attire
your inertia.

Sip life's steeped infusion.

Be moved by the dawn.

Languid can wait.

Take up the slack along with
Now's aid.

Fight sleepiness back.

Success is for making so are
you ready ?

Come, seize the skirt of today.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I smiled as I saw the picture above and the words of a poem formed as I looked at the warm way of waking a loved one.

  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Lovely Picture FAY: Its 10am Thursday here so we are now up and going sailing in "The Bay of Islands". We don't cohabit : but if we share a (twin) bedroom BRIAN likes me to wake him with a KISS and a cup of filter coffee! I always learn something from your poems. If this is spontaneous you must have a large vocabulary so Im reading more. The poem is "one liners" but with flow and cohesion. My fave line is 6 "Use lights emergence to attire your inertia". Please excuse the pun : but line 13 reminded me of TRUMP on the STUMP! Love the Picture and the Poem it spawned. Love ANGELA XXXX
