Time to fade away from grey
Time to store the pain away
No words
No explanation now
Just hold on tight
Keep up good fight
Believe in believing
End in sight

End of longing, hopes and dreams
End of waiting to be seen
No words
No explanation now
Friends and family need only know
That which you choose to show
Believe in being
Take the blow

Begin the time for keeping on
Begin the hour of being strong
No words
No explanation now
Dare not delve
Darkness shelve
Believe in deceiving
Lie to Self

Time to fade away from grey
Time to store the pain away
No words
No explanation now
Just hold on tight
Keep up good fight
Believe in believing
End in sight

Keep on
Be strong
Keep on

  • Comment from author about the poem: There were so many different songs that I wanted to attach. Each would have shifted the interpretation of the poem. I guess that is the point. I went with inside in the end. But my second choice would have been Grace U2 It's an interesting battle going on inside my head this morning!

Your grip is obviously secure and it will pull you into the light of your life. Stay strong.

Bless you Gildfinch for bringing me a message of light.
In truth I think I was writing a little satirically about the British tight lipped nature of keeping things locked up inside, keeping up appearances so to say.

I fear this strength will be the undoing of me.

So secretly I come here and pour out all that I hold within so that indeed I can walk away feeling lighter.

      Thanks for reading πŸŒ”
