OUR MAORI MEMORY : ANGELA & BRIAN

BRIAN & ANGELA

HONGI : RUBBING NOSES : MAORI GREETING !

ONCE YOU MEET the MAORI you know for sure

UNUSUAL  People like you've never met before

REALLY LIVELY People : you want to know more !

MAORI are the nicest Folk we know

ALWAYS smiling everywhere we go

ORDINARY People with a very loving HEART

RELIABLE : Responsible always a la carte

I'D LOVE to be MAORI in reincarnation !

MEMORIES of MAORIS fill all our conversation

EXPERT  Dancers, Singers : love to play

MADE by GOD in a very special way

O to wake up MAORI : every Saturday !

ROTORUA is their is their Earthly Home

YOU KNOW to PARADISE : all MAORI have gone !

Thanks for reading : comments please : BRIAN & ANGELA XXXX

THANKS ANDY ~ In some ways our generation (post 1980) have a great wanderlust and travel first and count the cost afterwards. I suppose I should be saving for a HOUSE ! They are a great PEOPLE been in NZ for 1000 years. You can learn a lot form Films & Videos ~ hope you enjoyed DANNY KAYE one of my Pothumous faves ! Love to JOYCE

THANKS UNCLE STEVE ~ Pleased you enjoyed ! As Danny Kaye said the first time the MAORI PERFORMERS travelled was 1963 ~ 20 years before my time but not yours ! Yours BRIAN & ANGELA ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰

I know Eskimos also say goodbye by rubbing noses because its so cold. This would be such an adorable way to say hello and goodbye except during cold and flu season, lol!! Wonderful poem! Please check my write! Abrazos fuertes. Sister Christina

GRACIAS CHRIS ~ Lovely to get a comment from you. Yes the nose rubbing is not UNIQUE to the MAORI. Pleased you enjoyed the POEM and the video with DANNY KAYE ~ I love his films in retrospect a great entertainer who I understand did a lot for the United Nations. ANGELA yearns for a DAUGHTER (all in due time) so she wanted to respond to your lovely Poem. She has a great bond with her MUM. The MOTHER SON BOND is expressive & Physical but (in my experience) the MOTHER & DAUGHTER BOND is very Spiritual and also very very understandable ! Please pray for us tomorrow (Saturday) ! Thanks Friend ~ we could have called it "Postcards from New Zealand" ! It was Angela's first visit and she so wanted to share her experiences (especially the MAORI) with her Friends on MPS. Tomorrow's is on NZ Wines ~ Her DAD is a Spanish Wine Merchant and she is a Connoisseur. She has sampled and selected 8 bottles to send back with me for her DAD. Check tomorrow ~ OK. Pleased you have enjoyed the POSTCARDS ~ Yours BRIAN & ANGELA
