I look out at the cloud ridden sky,
The light hidden by the darkness.
My mind reaches upwards,
Touches the clouds,
A gap appears.
I rise up into the light,
That light that is always there,
Always there around me.
I look back and the gap has closed,
But I am free of the dark.
I travel in the light
Towards that wonder,
That wonder of eternity,
And beyond.

Thanks Orchi.
I see the light - well penned Andy.
Thank you Michael. Yes the light is always there.
Brilliant! your light emanates wonderfully from you and with the morning sun and the violin playing, I'm left with balance in mind.
Thank you for sharing
Much peace and respect
Thank you Dan, your words are most kind.
You switched that light on? Bit dark in 'ere! Wish I would shut up! lol.
The light is always with us.
I love the positivity of your poems. Great job!
Thank you Christina, when you have been given a second chance at life positivity is a must.
When your time comes may your wishes be exceeded.
That is a wonderful thing to say da, thank you so much.
Andy,
A luminous poem indeed!
We are so fortunate to have you as our “lighthouse” on this wonderful site. When we are in a fog, we look toward that “lighthouse” to guide us! Thank you for being you!
I enjoyed Ennio & Andrea Morricone’s Cinema Paradiso theme!
Love to Joyce and you!

You are so kind Laura.
I like all Ennio Morricone's work, I have a lot of it but he is a very prolific composer.
That he is!
I 'came by' a download of some of his recordings, they are songs sung in Italian, I don't understand the words but I love the music.
To listen to his words set to music is truly a glorious experience!
I know what you are going through Andy and I am so glad that you can stay so positive and share that with us - thank you!
Thank you Lorna, I will not get pulled down in spite of the problems, I am not built that way.
