What was that!
What is this!
What is this I am listening to?
It is only September,
Early September!
Yet here it is on the radio,
It is so early,
Why is it playing?
Am I lost in time?
Is it December already?
And Christmas Carols
Are with us once more.

- Comment from author about the poem: Every year BBC Radio 3 runs a Christmas carol competition. A poem is read and listeners are invited to write a carol using those words. It started yesterday and they played last years winner, it is very odd hearing a Christmas Carol on September 5th.

Yep, wishing the year away, they are. I had Charity Christmas gifts catalogue in August! Help, what about Harvest, Autumn, etc? A fine write Gold.
What about next Easter - where are the eggs?
Thanks Orchi. Harvest is nigh, unfortunately the service is being taken by a retired Minister who is not liked by many.
I'm sure carols must be nice to hear anytime. I know if only one from Disney films I.e tis the season to be jolly and it's really sweet and lovely just like your fine poem. . Cool write. Thumbs up.
So nice to read from your ink again, Pleez do review/comment my newest poem too.
Thank you for your comment
Time is just fujiting again Andy. We have had Halloween candy specials in the stores since July - if I bought that much candy in July it would be long gone by end October! ha!
It is crazy how early celebrations start nowadays, we will have to start getting ready for the next millennia celebrations soon!
Can't wait to ding my dong on high - yes the commerciality (new word) of it all never ceases to amaze but I can manage the odd early hymn or two.
Make sure that your dong doesn't slip and end up dining in the snow.
I like the word commerciality but be careful as Orchi suffers from hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.
Poor orchi is it known as hibia for short? 🙂 🙂
