HUMAN ODDITIES (TANKA)

Human oddities

Seems redundant to me

Is it a joke?

I don’t see any laughter

From the all too somber crowd.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The photograph is taken of the entrance to the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia. This is a museum for the college of physicians and has historical medical devices and skeletal remains and gangrene feet and all kinds of medical and human oddities. There's also a courtyard with all kinds of medicinal plants--albeit not the best medicinal plant.
