Blue flower in the vase
Sitting in the silence
Water is gone
But still the color carries on
Speaking to the quiet
Its blue flower words
As it fades away
And leaves the space
More silent that before
Blue flower in the vase
Sitting in the silence
Water is gone
But still the color carries on
Speaking to the quiet
Its blue flower words
As it fades away
And leaves the space
More silent that before

So Gentile, smooth and a relaxing little thought out poem. Quite beautiful, Lorna.
So glad you liked Kevin!
Always welcome, Lorna.
Lorna,
You’ve written a gem! You’ve penned the most beautiful, meaningful poem with so much intended meaning...metaphorically stunning!
Love the pic...

If only I could figure out how to make them produce flowers at the TOP instead of the bottom of the plant!
Turn them upside down 🙂 🙂 🙂
That's so Alice in Wonderland........ off with their heads (literally)..........
A fine write Lorna.

I have two cd's from
simon and garfunkle.
and when they play that song
I feel mellow.
Thanks Pauly.... it's a great one isn't it..... I also like Scarborough Fair.......

Beautiful write Lorna, the fading of flowers can be so wonderful.
The Sound of Silence, and all of Simon and Garfunkel's recordings, is great. It is one of the numbers that is sung in the Community Choir of which I am a founder member.
Thanks Andy! Would you ever post videos of your choir singing?
Lorna, your poem reinforces mindfulness, being in the moment, it will make me look more closely at my own flowers. Beautiful. Maggie
Thanks Maggie........
