Tune: Westminster Abbey
('Christ is made the sure foundation')
Psalm 99
*********
The Lord reigns, let people tremble
Where they to Him assemble
He sits between the cherubims
Let each be moved, come with hymns
Unto Him, the Lord who is great
Great in Zion, for Him wait
High above the people is He
Let them praise Him now and see
His great and terrible name sure
It is holy evermore
The Lord, the King, strong, so it be
He loves judgement, equity
In Israel, His people, 'tis facts
With judgement righteous He acts
The Lord our God here Him exalt
At His footstool bow, no fault
In Him, for He is whole, holy
Give Him your worship solely
Moses and Aaron mist His priests
Prepared sacrifices, feasts
And Samuel among them that call
On His name, He answers all
From cloudy pillar He then spake
They kept His words, did partake
Of communion with Him sweet
He spake from the mercy seat*
You O Lord God answered, forgave
Though vengeance you did not waive
But showed it on their inventions
You the Lord the holy one
So exalt Him, worship His name
He who remains e'er the same
Holy, just, with judgement righteous
He does come and tend to us
We changed more into His image
Grant us Lord wisdom, courage

plus a couple of other things put in the ark too.

Good to see the clergy/ministers joining in the singing too. Some places they just sit there, dare I say it, like (dumb) muppets, during the hymns!
Wonderful Orchi - enjoy your Sunday..........
Thanks Lorna. That'll teach me - I've done self-prophecy. I went to very dull church today. I could not stay. it was awful - not awe-ful, but horrible. Oh dear!
