A conversation with time.
Do I sit down or shall I stand,
Mister who's name rhymes with dime.
I have a few questions to ask of you sir,
Of days, of lines and of silent minds.
Do you stop, do you go,will you hide, when days are slow.
Are you solid, are you mass, do you move, do you pass.
Will you change when you get old
Where do you go when life you fold.
Are you father or are you friend,
Do you break or do you bend.
Are you good or are you bad.
Happy or just sometimes sad.
Are you enough when this road ends,
Is it possible that from you, I can lend.
Are you healer, can you bestow,
day or night of this life's flow.
Are you a calendar or are you a clock,
Maybe a date, but more likely a dot.
Are you an evening or are you an era,
You could be an eternity but I think your possibly an end.
You are today and also tomorrow
You are my happiness but also my sorrow.
No sound from you, save a tic and a toc ....
As I watch your hands move, around my life clock....

wonderful rhythm!
its been a while!
onepauly
Thank you onepauly, I've been very busy writing for a charity
Time will always be with us and it changes its speed with no reason.
Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc.
Thank you F60, you are so right.
The moving hand doth write
And having writ moves on
Nor all thy piety nor wit
Can move it back
To cancel half a line
Nor all thy tears
Wash out a WORD of it !
