keeping it to myself
though i often fool myself i begin to see
i'm giving away love too easily
there's so little left inside for me
i guess having a big hungry heart
i'm susceptible i want love for keeps
but everytime it's a masquerade
and with every walking away
i feel my soul bleed
goodbye to loving and its sweet caress
your rosey thorn has cut me too deep
the final chapter in a book of torment
as i lay love down to sleep
here on in and for the rest of my days
im gonna hold this head up high
finding me something else to do
cos for me love's just a pie in the sky

It might be a pie in the sky but it has sweet crust pastry - just reach for a slice.
Such a sad write as there is love out there for all of us, sometimes it can be difficult to find.
Yes, a sad write. But there's more love there, I'm sure!
The read from line one sears the heart - there is nothing so sad than giving love out and receiving naught back - - a write to remember D.A. - into my faves.
Wow.. Thank you for sharing this part of yourself may your days go forward in harmony and as you so bravely hold that head high with a wonderful heart open can it attract what you deserve.
Much love and respect
i see the love fading away from you in your work. Normally when this happens the intentions of what you've lost will come back sometime. Deepening is the thought of how to change the aspect of something feeling sad, lost, and lonely can actually turn out to be something unsuspectingly, and surprisingly good because love mostly returns upon a summers day when you least expect it. One day the clouds will clear through the sunlight of your perception to reveal a landscape of thought so intrinsically beautiful that you will almost declare yourself a God. Take your losses in your hand and throw them far away. That way you can catch your new falling star to brighten up your belief in love.
Wonderful comment, thank you. Yes i agree with you wholeheartedly.
