Tune: Rosefield
('Bread of heaven, on thee we feed')
*******
Forgive, Lord, where distracted
Where it seems your presence hid
Yet some of our own making
Where we turn from you our King
For your presence ever nigh
Is to those who to you fly
There find love, security
And forgiveness whole and free
All my sins on Jesus laid
He for me the price has paid
When this light on me does dawn
Afresh, I no longer mourn
Loved, accepted, through the Son
Jesus, He the work has done
To make man* acceptable (*mankind)
Unto God, now welcomed all
Though only through Him we may
Find in Him redemption's day
Begone guilt, depression, sin
Christ's blood cleanses souls within
No accusation can stand
The Lord helps us by His hand* (* His Spirit)
It all-powerful and strong
Avails for us all along
So renewed, refreshed, restored
In th image of our Lord
We grow daily by His grace
'Til at last we see His face
In the great consummation
Rapture dawns for each nation
For all who in Him believe
Fullness of life do receive
And be ever with their Lord
He the true and living Word
Come to Him, it not too late
You shall find His mercies great
