A Green Thumb

A Green Thumb

A green thumb is not inherited

But is earned from hard work

The result of grin and bear it

When weeds from beds you jerk

Even when you have one

A plant sometimes dies

From too little sun

Or from too much sometimes

You know a green thumb’s there

Even when gardening with gloves

It’s there when tending a cactus

And for the roses that you love

Some say that talking

Can really make plants grow

But the green thumb says

It is the watering that shows

Repotting is a green thumb secret

That revives struggling plants

And when done regularly

Gives each another chance

    Enjoyed the read.

I had a green thumb yesterday
I hit it with a hammer
    now it's turning purple grey
and it's lost its verdant glamour.

The plants in our garden always have two chances, I wonder why it is looking so brown.
