Time Giver.

Goldfinch60

In this age all want,

Want more.

More this,

More that.

More money,

More power,

They want all,

All for themselves.

I want for nothing.

I have the love of my wife,

I have the love of my family,

I have the love of my friends.

I have good health,

I have the wonder of nature,

I have the beauty of music,

I have the glory of art,

I have words to write.

I have time,

Time to enjoy all of these.

I have time,

Time to help others,

To give that most precious of gifts,

The gift of time.

Time that can be given

From me,

To you,

Without cost,

But with love.

A lovely write and clip Gold. Aww, but why does no-one spend time hearing me sing?! heehee.
You got time to prep for that birthday, and for 1066?

    • Goldfinch60

      Thanks Orchi.

Yes the preparations are well under way.

I like your work, you know i do but i'm going to have a go at you on this one.
I disagree so much with the content. I began to write a detailed explanation but .....
Not everyone is a money grabbing, so and so desirous of having power etc. You claim to want for none of those things because plainly you already achieved them - by your own hard effort and intelligence nodoubt
The third verse though is pure Goldfinch... brilliant as per.
        Rant over.

Yes I agree that not everyone is money grabbing, it was just the way to start the poem leading to the end that is important to me.
Thanks for your comments d a, always appreciated.

this poem itself is as precious
as the one who wrote it.
          a fine piece of work.

Thank you onepauly, you are most kind.

We all 'have' but not everyone makes the best use of it or appreciates it.

            • Goldfinch60

              Very true Michael.
