OCEANS TEARS
In avenues where trees stand ranked
she breathes a lonely ponderous sigh
as church bells strike the midnight hour
beneath an unknown sky.
Carpeted on poisoned growth
she lays below the branching limbs
her body clad in mist and rain
insensate to the fingering winds.
With thoughts of unknown pedigree
in memories eidetic clutch
tormented by passivity
she sheds an oceans tears.

Wonderfully emotive write Michael.
Thanks Andy - just spotted it should read 'sheds' in the last line - will correct it now.
A fine write and pic Michael. Ohh I'm gonna be eidetic today! Any relation to Ida Tick?
I'm friends with her brother Roman.
Or is it pronounced as Mr I. Dettic? is his first name Ian?
Could be Ivan
You seen Bill Posters, or his friend Bill Stickers? They prosecuted them yet? Are they in jail? And what have they done? Why will they be prosecuted?! So many questions....
I came out of a fog to read this. Its filled with sombre mystery. Much like my fog.
May your fog soon disperse - thanks for your comments dusk
Loud applause for this read - - - such linguistic pleasure to catch the nuances behind these lines - another gem Michael.
Thank you Fay - - may I repeat your comments in respect of your own fine work posted today.r

Aw thank you Laura - I'm not always quite this inspired - that's why I post so many lighter pieces.
