Tune: Ruth
('Summer suns are glowing')
Psalm 70
**********
Make haste God, to help me
Deliver me, see
My troubles I have here
Come to me, draw near
Let them be ashamed sure
That seek my soul poor
And confounded, turned back
While I nothing lack
Let them be confused, they
The ones who do say
Ahh, and so do scorn me
Look on me, me see
Let them be turned back, blame
For reward of shame
Give them, but do save me
From their ways me free
Let all those that seek you
Rejoice now anew
And be glad in you for
They worship, adore
And let such as love you
Keep you still in view
They love your salvation
Shared with each nation
Let them say continual
Your name be it all
Magnified, shown as great
You care for our state
But I poor and needy
Be, come, set me free
Make haste, me deliver
Help me, not defer
