CHRISTMAS in the UK is not just a HAPPY HOLIDAY !
It is very very special it is CHRIST~MASS the celebration
of GOD sending his Son ~ The Lord Jesus Christ in Human
Form (The INCARNATION) to be the SAVIOUR of the WORLD.
Traditionally celebrated on 25th DECEMBER. We start in
SEPTEMBER for several reasons ! OCTOBER ~ Halloween
isn't big in t he UK ~ in fact many Churches celebrate ALL
SAINTS DAY instead ! NOVEMBER ~ Bonfire Night (5th)
is historical and celebrates GUY FAWKES foiled attempt to
blow up PARLIAMENT (some would welcome a 2nd attempt)
it only lasts ONE DAY and unprotected fires are banned ! In
the UK we don't do THANKSGIVING ! SO THIS LEAVES ONLY
CHRISTMAS to prepare for and CELEBRATE ! I start buying
my cards (100) and presents in JANUARY (Sales !) I've
bought my Christmas Crackers ~ Santa outfit ~ mulled wine
~ egg nog & sherry ~ Im READY ! I love the GERMAN Alles
Jahre CHRISTMAS STORES and CHRISTMAS MARKETS.
Christmas Fare & Artifacts are already in OUR Stores. So MY
CHRISTMAS begins in SEPTEMBER and ends in FEBRUARY !

Erm, yes, we have to prepare, but could be wishing the year away! But it I snot even Autumn yet, so my diary tells me. Happy Easter there! Early greetings in case I forget later. lol.
Thanks UNCLE STEVE ~ Happy Easter to you too ~ That can't come soon enough for me because I'm Flying to New Zealand again to spend two Blissful weeks with ANGELA ~ AMEN. I will miss her at Christmas but I want her to experience the KIWI / MAORI Christmas under her ow steam ~ in the Middle of the NZ Summer ! The point I was trying to make is that apart from Bonfire Night which since I was 16 (1999) I have always found Bonny to be an anticlimax ! We don't do Halloween (American Mythology) and have an ALL SAINTS PARTY @ the Church for the KIDS ~ NO TRICKS & LOTS of TREATS ! The next big CELEBRATION is CHRISTMAS so we may as well start Early ~ OK Every Blessing ~ Yours BRIAN & ANGELA ~ Happy Christmas !
