empty
the monsters are back
they are stronger than ever
they want to start another battle
but maybe instead of fighting,
i might just let them win this time
every inch of me was aching
every inch of me begging
but now i am numb
finding comfort in suffering
finding control in pain
but now my numbness is coming to an end
and im looking forward for it to end
at this moment,im braver than ever
number than ever
the monsters are haunting me now
but they cant forever
so i decide to wear a white dress
take a knife
get into the bath
and bring an end to my numbness, thinking i defeated them all

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem was written by me when i was slowly falling into the dark cave of depression. the poem is about a girl who is suicidal and a person who has dealt with depression before. she is suicidal and at the end of the poem she does succeed in killing herself. but the meaning of the poem is that the girl dies thinking she defeated her demons and won the battle of depression, but thats not the case. suicide is not an option. killing yourself doesn't mean you won the war. there's always a way. the girl in the poem was wrong to think she defeated her demons.if you really want to defeat your monsters, then get help or allow yourself to get better.it may take sometime but just remember there's always someone who cares about you.there will always be someone who will care and grieve if you die. You are not alone.. love , the girlwithabrokenheart

HI CHAAZ ~ Welcome to MPS ~ Thanks for your first POEM ~ Well written but a sad subject ! We all have MONSTERS and they dont disappear but sometimes they go away for a while ! SUICIDE is not the answer ~ we only have one life and its too precious to waste. I overcome my MONSTERS by being more Spiritual and the Power of Positive thinking. There are lots of nice POEMS on my site (which i share with my Fiancee ANGELA) which you are welcome to enjoy ! The way MPS works is we read each others Poems and comment.
