My self harming days are in the past
and so are my sleepless nights,
When all I needed was an excuse
to throw myself into a new plight.
So many people in my inner circle
never knew of my secret agony,
Nor did they know of my panic disorder
And all that this demon took from me
I know now I had to do the work
Proverbially jump and grow wings,
Fly high and then land softly
But nobody tells you these things!
So this is the last I will say
As you are growing tired of my ordeal!
But I will continue to grow
And in absence of medicine, to heal

You will come out on top and stay there dear Christina for your firm' and determined stand to "continue to grow
And in absence of medicine, to heal" shows your courage and strength to fight any ordeals. A really inspiring read which goes into my favourites. Hugs galore xx

Thanks Laura, I really appreciate it!!
What a heart-wrenching poem that brings a tear to the reader's eye. You bare your soul with this write.
Yet, writing about it is half the battle. Courage to get through it is the next challenge, or the other half. Keep the faith!
Very well-written. 🙂
I certainly will keep on keeping on!!! Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I appreciate you reading my poem.
You're welcome, Christina S. 🙂
You are a strong woman - keep going from strength to strength - but I know you will - my hears with you dear Christina.
Thanks so much Michael! I really appreciate your kind words!
Your strength shines through this write Christina, you have won your battle and the prize is your total wellbeing. Well done.
Thanks so much Andy, appreciate it very much!
We're not tired of it. Michael says 'From strength to strength...' That's one tune name to 'Soldiers of Christ, arise'. 'Tis you as one of them!
See if you can find a video of it - a triumphant tune, e.g. lines of: 'Tread all the powers of darkness down, And win the well fought day'.
Well thank you Orchi!! I appreciate it. Prayers got me to where I am today!
Very heartfelt!
Great write!
I’m sorry your demons hurt you so much
But I can tell your fighting back harder and I just feel that you will win so never back down and god speed healing to you x
Thanks so much misskay! I really appreciate your kind words and thoughts!! 🙂
