Tune: Tyrol
('A man there lived in Galilee')
John Chapter 9 parts
*******
John's Gospel Series (10)
A blind man healed with Jesus' word
He sight on Him conferred
Said, go wash in pool, Siloam
After anointing him
With clay thus put upon his eyes
He on the word relies
Goes to the pool, washed off the clay
And he did see that day
Later Jesus did the man find
Spoke to him gentle, kind
Do you believe upon the Son
Of God, life-giving One?
He did reply, Who is He, Lord
For I did hear His word
Who is He, that I might believe
On Him, and Him receive?
Jesus said, You have seen Him here
He does to you endear
And it is He that with you talks
With you in the way walks
And he said, O Lord, O believe
For here be no deceive
And he worshipped the Lord there too
With praises not a few
Jesus said, For judgement I came
For some go on the same
Spiritually blind, do not see
Religiosity
Is all they follow, rule and rite
They in dark, have no sight
But I, light of the world, do give
True sight that all may live

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8686 8686 metre. I have not put speech marks in, as I have ad libbed a bit on some of what the people actually said, hopping not going off-track though, so they are not verbatim quotes.

That Light is always with us.
Thanks Gold.
Those last two lines are a killer. Shame this omnipotent one cant stop hurting humanity with malformed babies and disease.
I see what you mean dusk. Some of it is man's own making I feel. Some of it is a mystery. That may seem a cop-out, just to say 'don't know'. But that's all we can say in some cases.
