As I look upon the sun, setting so gently
So kind, so warm as if I could touch it
I would instantly feel joy
But when the night fall upon me, I feel fear
So much terror, so much helplessness
It's like no one will ever know how to feel safe and happiness because of the way tragedy arises when the moon with its brightness so beautiful, as bright as a light
No one will ever know how to believe and trust because of the way the sunset deceives you from it's true beauty
But as the night ends the stars shift
The sun wakes up and another day begins
And you must continue one through this maze that if called life
I get goosebumps on my feel which feel like 100 little bugs crawling on me one by one
As the warmth falls upon me once again
Starting with my feet up, up, up until it reaches my face
And the warmth has traveled through my body and given me life. The sun and the moon

brilliant use of imagery! I loved it! I liked the mix of light and darkness and the usage of astrology in the poem, great flow!
There is a new day every day and each new day is wonderful.
Welcome to MPS.
WELCOME KAYCAT ~ Thanks for your first poem which is elegantly penned & spaced. I love Astral Poems and yours is a GEM.
In Planet Earths annual cycle around the SUN ~ both the SUN & MOON are very important as LIGHT SOURCES (think of Early Mans reliance on Moonlight) they also controlled the Seasons ~ Tides etc and of course the Sun also provides Heat. Most of us work in the DAY and feel safe in the DAY. I love SUNRISE but as the Sun sets it becomes twilight and more spooky. I sleep at Night and so escape the things that go BUMP. I have Friends who work at night and sleep in the DAY and like OWLS (and other animals) they become NOCTURNAL and find the DAY too bright ! I love SUNRISE !
