...and so it is

Andrew Charles Forrest

... and so it is

I do not want you in my life

I fear I have no choice in the matter

You invade my every waking thought

You’ve changed me into someone new

I want the me I used to be

Not the me you’ve left me with

They say I should give you a name!

I will not honour you with that

I need no help to hate you more

One day I’ll turn my back on you

Then that way you’ll change too

But I’ll be taking you, with me, I’ll be taking you.

The well-chosen image speaks loudly in accord with your powerful words in this plea for and end to pretence - - "I want the me I used to be" must be a familiar cry in these troubled time my friend. A compelling read Andrew.

Wonderful write Andrew. No matter how we want to rid ourselves of things or people they will always be with us in one way or another.
