Stuff.

Goldfinch60

We all have it,

We collect it.

As our lives get longer

It accumulates,

We dare not throw it away,

It may be useful,

One day.

But that day

Rarely comes.

But still it stays with us,

Just in case.

More and more is collected,

Until that day

When entry into the home

Becomes impossible,

As the house is full of it,

Full of STUFF!

A fine write and clip Gold. I got some water stuff to add to the whisky stuff. Oh no!

Tell me about it! If only my 'stuff' were inspirational i would write all day.
Once upon a time i was 18 living in a bedsit, where did all this stuff come from. I blame eBay.

I can honestly say that we have little stuff. When my parents passed away we vowed that we wouldn't leave such a legacy for our children - two very large skip loads. When we moved to our present address we took the view that if we didn't use it we didn't need it. Our house is very minimalist, easy to maintain and very modern ( no brown furniture for us). In fact the only place the children will need to sort out will be the studio with piles of equipment and paintings etc. Love the write.

Thanks Michael. Unfortunately we have loads of stuff, the only things that are organised are CDs, Books and my Poetry.

I can remember many many years ago when I was married to my first wife, back in the seventies, we decided to have a sort out of the loft and small shed. I came home from work one Friday evening and outside was one of the biggest skips I had ever seen. We filled that with no troubles at all.
