A fine write Lorna.
I best not write a poem called 'I remember when...' I been around since 1066 at least. I would never get to the end of the poem! I would waffle and elaborate and drone on in dull monologue for ever. heehee.
Your fine poem rings so true! Life did throw curves along the way with many ups and downs! Inspite of it all, we made it!
Great video! Alan Jackson is one of my favorites and the memorable and candid lyrics of this nostalgic song give me the goosebumps!
Thank you for sharing!

He's emotional sabotage......... gets me every time. The other one "You Can Always Come Home"..... oh dear...... sob sob.......
Hadnāt heard that one for a while!
Just finished listening to it...
Oh dear is right! Very relatable!
Perhaps now you have a better understanding of why I do what I do for others!
Powerful write, life is full of experiences that we learn, some are hard but most are wonderful.
And funny how sometimes we don't know we're learning until we piece it together later..... yes, all is good Andy.......
