WHY such devastation by FIRE ?
Peoples Houses ~ Peoples Property ~ and in
Some cases the PEOPLE THEMSELVES !
Every time I visit CALIFORNIA
Im CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' to stay forever
Sun ~ Sand ~ History ~ Affluence & Love
Everyone should visit CALIFORNIA & ENJOY !
BUT NOW in her hour of great NEED
We should all PRAY for Relief & Restoration ~ AMEN

If you have never been to CALIFORNIA you cant begin
to understand the sharp contrast between the Climate
and the LAID BACK lifestyle (It really is PARADISE) ~
and the DEVASTATION these Wild Fires are causing
Whole communities burnt out and over 40 dead !
The FIRE SERVICES are doing there best but NATURE
can be as cruel as she is BEAUTIFUL ! Californians really
are BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ~ welcoming ~ supportive and
Hospitable ! So they will regroup ~ rebuild and we will
see PARADISE RESTORED ~ AMEN
PLEASE PRAY EVERYDAY FOR CALIFORNIA ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

Thank you Brian for your poem dedicated to the devastation that is happening in California! Paradise is gone! I know it can be rebuilt, but not the lives of those who have lost them! My daughter is 100 miles away from there. Spoke to her this morning. She tells me they are affected by the smoke. They have closed the schools for the safety of the children! They are advised to stay indoors! I’m hoping the fires will be under control soon!

Awful the devastation described by your sonnet as California burns right now - thank you Brian for the informative history of this friendly and beautiful place which needs all our prayers and aid as it tries to fight back the flames. Our thoughts go out too for those being mourned who have already lost life in this tragic fire.

THANKS UNCLE STEVE ~ The pictures of Paradise made me CRY it was such a cool & happy Community. My main contacts in California are in SAN DIEGO which is handy for the MEXICAN BORDER & TIJUANA ~ OK. Fire is so so destructive ! Yours as always BRIAN.
Thanks Brian. It can be easier, I suppose, to feel 'detached' if something is not affecting us personally, or is 'out there'. The further away it may be, the less it might seem to affect us sometimes. Not that we should feel detached.
HOLA BRIAN : BIG BEAR : ANGEL AQUI ! We have been very shocked in Auckland about the extent and the destruction of the Forest Fires in CALIFORNIA. New Zealand is a much smaller Country so Wild Fires are easier to control than in the USA : However Australia does have a similar problem. I have visited the NAPPA VALLEY Vineyards with my Parents and I agree it is a very Beautiful State. Dont forget you have promised to take me to LA & Hollywood when we are married ! I enjoyed your Poem and will pray for California (especially PARADISE) at the Nurses PM and the Church PM. Hello Brian and Angela, It is such a wonderful poem! Yes, this exactly what we need in California. We need hope. We need to appreciate the beauty of this wonderful state! Paradise should be restored and, yes, it is such a beautiful name for a lovely town. We absolutely must believe in the very best. Thank you for the poem!

We have visited CALIFORNIA several times and each time we have appreciated the Beauty of the Scenery (especially the Big Sur : and the hospitality of the People : AMEN. The Californians did not deserve this and the horror of having one's House (and the contents) raised to the ground is unthinkable. Thanks GOD Californians are very resilient : and YES I believe PARADISE : like PHOENIX : will rise form the Ashes : Every blessing ~ Brian & Angela.
